Spring has finally sprung and there’s no better time to practice the age old adage of “out with the old, in with the new”. It makes sense to change with the season. So this springtime, why not make time to let more light in and declutter – both your physical spaces and your online spaces?
We’re all guilty of over consumption, and not just as consumers of physical products – but also of social media. We waste too much time scrolling endlessly through feeds of content that no longer bring us any joy. In the physical world, we wouldn’t surround ourselves with people or negative opinions that we don’t agree with – but yet, online, we consume so much content that’s irrelevant in our own lives. We don’t have to be slaves to an algorithm.
So make time to blow off the cobwebs and have a clear out. From mailing lists we no longer love, to endless Instagram accounts, at biobod, we’re having a springtime social media cleanse.
We should warn you, though; this cathartic process takes time. But it’s worth it to enjoy a carefully curated social feed that reflects who you are and what you want to see. Pick and choose what’s important to you and reconstruct your online experience.
Become inspired again, manifest your vision and only consume content that will help you create who you want to become. Cull the accounts that no longer bring you joy and replace them with ones that make you feel good and inspired.
The results are amazing. Ridding yourself of what’s no longer relevant frees up time to focus on what you actually want to see. So when you find a few spare hours with the extra light springtime brings, give it a go. Enjoy a digital cleanse and new newsfeed filled with things to make you laugh, feel inspired and smile.
